A.Something About Scholarship

The Scholarship Office provides opportunities to qualified and deserving students through scholarships and financial assistance to enable them to continue with their studies and finish a degree. A grant made by the institution to support a student’s education , awarded on the basis of academic and special skills in cultural and sports , including extra income as student assistants as well as specific grants-in-aid programs.

The financial aid that STI WNU is extending is the amount that a student receives is determined through institutional guidelines and a financial support given who are furthering their education.

B. STI General Scholarship Policy

I. The University Scholarship Program’s thrust is to acknowledge the excellent endeavors of the students in the areas of academic pursuit, student-assistantship, artistic talent, sports aptitude, and co/ extra-curricular involvement

II. The University Scholarship Program is initiated by the University administration for the benefit of the students and shall therefore be waived anytime depending on the financial capability of the University.

III. In cases where a student qualifies for more than one STIWNU scholarship, he will be granted only one scholarship per term, whichever provide more benefits.

C. Scholarship Programs

a. Academic Scholarship

  • • STI Senior High School Academic Achiever
  • • STI Academic Excellence Scholarship
  • • STI Open Scholarship ( SOS ) Program  

The STI Open Scholarship is open to all incoming Grade 11 Senior High School (SHS) and freshmen tertiary students from any DepEd-recognized public or private high schools in the Philippines.

Guidelines

1.1 General

  • 1.1.1. The scholarship grant is valid for the length of the program, subject to the renewal requirements.
  • 1.1.2. Performance and behavior of the scholar shall be monitored and evaluated by the Scholarship Manager for scholarship renewal purposes.
  • 1.1.3. The scholarship grant shall be applied only to the STI School where the applicant took the exam

1.2 Eligibility

  • Applicant for the STI Open Scholarship must be:
  •   a. An incoming Grade 11 or 1st year college student.
  •   b. Good moral character and must not have any record of misconduct from the school of origin.

b. Non-Academic Scholarship

This scholarship grant will be awarded to STI Senior High School (SHS) graduates who wish to pursue their higher education in any STI campus nationwide.

Guidelines

1. Eligibility

  • • Must be a graduate of STI Senior High School with good moral character
  • • Must have no records of any remedial classes since Grade 11
  • • No disciplinary offenses

2. Entry Requirements

  • 1. For incoming 1st year tertiary student:
  •   • Must enroll as a regular tertiary student with full term load as prescribed in the curriculum starting
  •   • Must comply with the standard admission requirements for College Freshmen

    2. For Transferees/Returnees (STI SHS graduates who enrolled in a non-STI campus and would like to go back to STI):

  •   • Must return/enroll in STI one school year after graduating in senior high, at the latest ( Example: A SHS graduate in SY 2017-18 must return/enroll in any STI campus in SY 2019-2020. )
  •   • Must enroll as a tertiary student with a minimum load of 18 units.
  •   • Must comply with the standard admission requirements for Transferees.
